Bill Buckland, President

Bill Buckland is the president of Mandal Pipe Company located in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Auburn University with a BA degree in Industrial Management. He has been married since 1973, has two daughters, and is active in church and civic affairs. He has been selling steel pipe for over 3 decades. He specializes in the sale of Large Diameter steel pipe in the vertical position and has provided material for some of the highest profile projects in America. Some of these projects include Launch Pad 39B, the Seven Mile Bridge and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Florida; and the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge, the New Carquinez Bridge and the Coronado Bridge in California. He is currently providing pipe for the John J Audubon Bridge in New Roads, Louisiana, which will be the longest Cable Stay Bridge in North America upon completion. He was one of the first salesmen to market pipe in 100’ lengths, has worked in a pipe coating mill, run a spiral weld pipe manufacturing facility, has sold steel pipe from all methods of manufacture, and has cleaned and re-conditioned used pipe. He is a ten year member of the National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors, currently serves on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Education Committee was the driving force in assembling the Training Manual used as the standard today for training new pipe salesmen. He will serve as the president of the National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors until 2011.


Betsy Buckland, CFO

Betsy Buckland is the Chief Financial Officer of Mandal Pipe Company. Also a graduate of Auburn University in Accounting and Finance, she began her career working in the public accounting sector with a local CPA firm. She has directed the accounting functions of the company since its inception. Known in the local banking and credit management community, she has a well deserved reputation for professional stewardship of multi-million dollar transactions which result in timely payments to our creditors.
